About Anuga FoodTec
Anuga FoodTec is held only once every three years, which gives each edition particular weight for the food and beverage production industry. Organised by Koelnmesse in Cologne with the DLG (German Agricultural Society) as partner, it is a leading international supplier fair for the technology that makes, packs and moves food and drink.
The show covers the whole production chain. Its main areas are processing, filling and packaging, automation, digitalisation, intralogistics, safety and analytics, and environment and energy, along with a science and pioneering section and specialist zones such as pet food and cultivated products.
Exhibitors are machinery builders, packaging manufacturers, analytics and food safety specialists, logistics providers and software companies. Visitors are trade professionals from food and beverage manufacturers of all sizes and across many segments, from dairy and meat to bakery, beverages and alternative proteins.
Because of the three-year cycle, many suppliers time product launches around Anuga FoodTec, and manufacturers often plan investment decisions with it in mind. That creates a concentrated period of buying intent that is hard to find elsewhere. Live machinery demonstrations are a defining feature of the halls, and a conference programme on topics such as sustainability, digitalisation and regulation keeps senior engineers and managers on site.
For suppliers, the show is a chance to set out their technology direction for the next three years in front of the most relevant international audience.

Anuga FoodTec 2027: what to expect
Anuga FoodTec 2027 runs from 23 to 26 February at Koelnmesse in Cologne, across around 118,000 square metres of exhibition space. The organisers' key theme for this edition is Navigate Complexity. Smart. Safe. Sustainable., focusing on AI-supported decision making, transparency and resource efficiency in production.
At the previous edition in 2024, the organiser reported around 1,307 exhibitors and about 38,427 visitors from 133 countries.
Machinery exhibitors should confirm floor loading, power, compressed air, water and access routes for heavy equipment with Koelnmesse early, since these services take time to arrange. Live demonstrations need guarding and space for spectators that does not block the aisle.
