About ISE (Integrated Systems Europe)
ISE, Integrated Systems Europe, is the annual show for the professional audiovisual and systems integration industry. It is run as a joint venture between AVIXA, the audiovisual industry association, and CEDIA, the association for smart home technology, and it is held at Fira de Barcelona's Gran Via venue.
The show floor is divided into technology zones that cover audio, lighting and staging; broadcast; digital signage and digital out-of-home; emerging technologies; smart spaces, homes and buildings; multi-technology, AV infrastructure and control; unified communications, collaboration and education technology; and the creative industries. The CEDIA involvement means residential smart home and custom installation sit alongside commercial AV.
Visitors are integrators, consultants, installers, technology managers and end users from sectors including corporate, education, hospitality, retail, live events, control rooms and stadiums. It is a technical trade audience that knows its specifications and expects to see technology working. A substantial conference programme runs alongside the exhibition, with keynotes and tracks on topics such as AI, audio, cybersecurity and sustainability.
Manufacturers and distributors exhibit because ISE is where the AV industry's attention focuses each February, and many brands time launches for it. Stands are typically large and demonstration-led, with heavy power, data and rigging requirements. Sound management is a real challenge in busy halls, so enclosed or acoustically treated demo rooms are common for audio and conferencing products, and exhibitors are judged on how well their own technology performs.

ISE (Integrated Systems Europe) 2027: what to expect
ISE 2027 runs from 2 to 5 February at Fira de Barcelona Gran Via, opening from 10:00 to 18:00 Tuesday to Thursday and closing at 16:00 on the Friday. Halls 1, 2, 3 and the hall 8.0 audio demo rooms open an hour earlier each day. The organiser reported 92,176 unique attendees from 181 countries and 1,751 exhibitors across 101,000 square metres and eight halls at ISE 2026.
Under-16s are not permitted during build-up, show days or breakdown, which affects any family members of the stand crew. Plan power loads, rigging points and suspended structures well before technical deadlines, and allow time to calibrate displays and audio during build. Barcelona hotels book up quickly around the show.
