About Vitafoods Europe
Since 1997, Vitafoods Europe has brought the global nutraceutical community together once a year. Informa Markets organises the event, which now takes place at Fira Barcelona Gran Via and gathers the supply chain behind dietary supplements, functional foods and drinks, and wider health and nutrition products.
The exhibition is arranged into four areas: ingredients and raw materials, branded finished products, services and equipment, and contract manufacturing and private label. That structure helps visitors navigate a very large floor and helps exhibitors find themselves among relevant neighbours.
Visitors include manufacturers, distributors, retailers, purchasing and procurement teams, research and development staff, food technologists and brand teams. It is a trade event, and many of those walking the aisles are actively sourcing ingredients, manufacturing partners or finished products for their portfolios.
Beyond the stands, the programme offers several routes to visibility. Innovation Awards, a New Products Zone, a tasting centre and guided innovation tours all highlight what is new, while networking formats such as a women's networking breakfast and lunch and learn sessions bring visitors together. For ingredient suppliers, contract manufacturers and brands looking for international distribution, few events offer this concentration of decision makers from so many countries.

Vitafoods Europe 2027 runs from 18 to 20 May at Fira Barcelona Gran Via. Informa Markets is promoting the 2027 event with more than 1,600 exhibitors and over 30,000 attendees from more than 135 countries.
Sampling is central in this sector, so a tasting counter with discreet storage and, where needed, refrigeration is worth building into the plan, and the hall rules on food handling should be checked early because they affect layout. Formulators and buyers often want quieter conversations about specifications and regulatory status, which makes a semi enclosed meeting space valuable.
