About Hispack
Spain's main trade fair for packaging, processing and labelling, Hispack is organised by Fira de Barcelona at the Gran Via venue. It is not held every year, so each edition gathers a backlog of new machinery, materials and ideas from across the Iberian packaging market.
The fair is structured around five areas of the value chain: packaging machinery and process, labelling and bottling, logistics with automation and robotics, brand packaging, and industrial packaging. Exhibitors range from machinery builders and materials manufacturers to printing and labelling specialists, automation firms and companies working on recyclable and reusable formats.
Visitors are mainly manufacturers of final products, both food and non-food, with technical, production, purchasing and marketing staff who carry decision making authority. Food and drink, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, chemicals and retail are among the key sectors, and the organiser runs international programmes to bring buyers from other markets.
Beyond the stands, the organiser has developed content strands such as Best in Class, which highlights notable packaging projects, and knowledge transfer sessions under the Hispack Unboxing name. Guided routes through the halls help visitors find suppliers by theme. For exhibitors, the fair is the most direct route into Spanish and Portuguese packaging buyers, and Spanish language graphics and staff make a noticeable difference with the core audience.

Hispack 2027: what to expect
Hispack marks its 20th edition, and 45 years, at Fira de Barcelona's Gran Via venue from 4 to 7 May 2027. It runs alongside Graphispag, the graphic arts fair, and the two shows together expect more than 1,000 exhibitors and 37,000 visitors, according to Fira de Barcelona.
For Hispack itself, the organiser is targeting more than 900 exhibitors, about 10 per cent up on 2024, with over a quarter from abroad. Automation, robotics and intralogistics get more space, and the EU packaging regulation (PPWR), in force six months before the show, is a major content theme. Anniversary activities include a gala dinner and a commemorative book.
The show runs on a three-year cycle, so competition for prime space is strong. Machinery exhibitors should agree delivery slots, compressed air, power and floor loading early, and leave viewing room around running equipment.
