About Learning Technologies
Workplace learning has its own major meeting point in London. Learning Technologies, organised by CloserStill Media at ExCeL, describes itself as Europe's leading event for the sector, and it brings together the people who design, buy and deliver training inside organisations.
The format has two parts. A paid conference offers expert led sessions for senior learning and development professionals, while a large free exhibition hosts suppliers alongside a programme of free seminars on the show floor. HR Technologies UK runs at the same time, adding HR leaders who often share budgets and decisions with L&D teams.
Exhibitors include learning platform and LXP providers, e-learning content developers, authoring tool vendors, virtual and immersive learning specialists, AI driven learning tools and training consultancies. Visitors are L&D managers, HR professionals, training practitioners and learning designers from corporate, public sector and not for profit organisations, and many return each year.
For suppliers, the appeal is a concentrated audience that is actively researching tools. Visitors come in a learning mindset, attend seminars between stand visits and often arrive with shortlists. The brand extends beyond the show itself, with the Learning Technologies Awards, an autumn online forum and year round digital content, so a presence at the exhibition sits within a wider community that runs throughout the year.

Learning Technologies 2027: what to expect
Learning Technologies 2027 takes place at ExCeL London on 5 and 6 May, co-located with HR Technologies UK. The organiser reported more than 15,000 attendees from 50 countries at the 2026 edition, with over 200 exhibitors and around 200 free seminars.
The hall is dominated by software and content providers, so differentiation usually comes from what visitors can try rather than what they read. Demo stations, sample content and, for immersive providers, a clear safe zone for headset demonstrations all need floor space that should be planned early. With only two days, pre booking meetings with prospects makes a real difference to results.
