About SIMO EDUCACIÓN
Run by IFEMA MADRID, SIMO EDUCACIÓN is Spain's international exhibition of educational technology and innovation. It looks at how technology and new teaching approaches can change learning in schools, colleges and universities, and it is held annually at the IFEMA MADRID exhibition centre.
Exhibitors include suppliers of classroom hardware and interactive displays, learning platforms, digital content and publishing, robotics and STEM resources, furniture and connectivity. The audience comes overwhelmingly from the education sector: teachers, head teachers, ICT coordinators, school leaders and education authorities, along with edtech companies and other decision makers.
A practical programme sits alongside the exhibition. Conferences cover trends in education, workshops focus on classroom innovation, and a showcase of innovative teaching experiences lets teachers share what has worked in their own schools. A Start Up/Show Up area gives newer companies a place to present their ideas, and the event hosts annual awards for educational innovation and innovative teaching experiences.
One distinctive feature is professional recognition. Teachers who attend and meet the set requirements can receive a certificate recognising hours of continuing professional training through INTEF, the Spanish national institute for educational technology and teacher training. That gives educators a solid reason to spend time at the show, and many move from sessions to the exhibition floor looking for tools they have just heard about. For edtech companies targeting Spain, and through it Spanish-speaking markets, it is a focused national showcase.

SIMO EDUCACIÓN 2026: what to expect
The 12th edition of SIMO EDUCACIÓN takes place at IFEMA MADRID from 11 to 13 November 2026, under the theme of leadership for educational transformation. The programme again includes conferences, classroom-focused workshops, the innovative teaching experiences showcase, the Start Up/Show Up area and the 14th Awards for Educational Innovation and Innovative Teaching Experiences.
Teachers attending can again obtain recognition of 10 hours of continuing professional training, subject to the requirements set out by the organiser, which tends to bring a strong teaching audience through the doors.
Spanish-language materials and Spanish-speaking staff are essential. Stands that let teachers try a product in a lesson-like setting, with short scheduled demonstrations, usually work better than displays of hardware alone.
