About Iberpet (formerly Iberzoo+Propet)
Iberpet is the professional trade fair for the pet care industry held at IFEMA MADRID, and it describes itself as the key meeting point for the sector in Southern Europe. It was known for years as Iberzoo+Propet before adopting a shorter, more international name, chosen to reflect how far the event and the market around it have grown.
The fair is organised by IFEMA MADRID and promoted by two Spanish associations: AMVAC, which represents companion animal veterinarians in Madrid, and AEDPAC, the association of pet product distributors. Several further industry bodies back it, which helps explain why both the commercial and the veterinary sides of the business attend.
On the stands you will find pet food makers, pharmaceutical and animal health companies, distributors, and suppliers of accessories, grooming and beauty products, training and education. The visitors are professionals only, including vets, distributors, retailers and service providers, and entry is through professional registration rather than public tickets.
Two co-located programmes add depth. VetMadrid, the annual congress run by AMVAC, brings clinicians into the halls, while the Iberpet Forum, organised by AEDPAC, focuses on distribution and retail. The organiser also runs Liveconnect, an online platform intended to keep exhibitors and buyers in contact between editions.
For a UK pet brand, the draw is efficient access to Spanish and Portuguese buyers, plus a growing number of international visitors, in a single compact event. The Spanish pet care market is a substantial one, and the fair is the obvious place to meet its distributors and specialist retailers face to face.

Iberpet (formerly Iberzoo+Propet) 2027: what to expect
Iberpet makes its debut under its new name from 10 to 12 March 2027 at IFEMA MADRID, having previously run as Iberzoo+Propet. IFEMA MADRID reports that the 2026 edition drew 302 exhibiting companies representing 1,200 brands and more than 21,000 professional visitors. The 2027 fair again sits alongside VetMadrid, AMVAC's veterinary congress, and the Iberpet Forum run by AEDPAC.
The audience is strictly professional, so expect conversations with vets, distributors and retailers rather than pet owners. That makes it worth bringing trade price lists, distributor terms and Spanish-language literature, and booking meetings ahead through the exhibitor catalogue and Liveconnect platform. With the vet congress drawing clinicians into the halls, health and nutrition brands should staff stands with someone able to handle technical questions. Applications to exhibit are made through the official Iberpet website.
