About IMEX Frankfurt
Few shows are as tightly built around appointments as IMEX Frankfurt. Held every year at Messe Frankfurt, it serves the global meetings, incentive travel and business events industry, connecting the destinations, venues and suppliers that host events with the planners who book them.
Exhibitors include national and city convention bureaux, hotel groups, venues, destination management companies, airlines, event technology providers and incentive specialists. Many destinations take large national or regional stands and share space with partner hotels and venues, which shapes the look of the halls. The visitor side is made up of corporate, association and agency planners from around the world, many of whom attend through the hosted buyer programme.
The model gives exhibitors a diary of pre scheduled meetings with qualified buyers, and a programme of more than 200 education and networking sessions keeps those buyers engaged across the show days. A free day of specialist education opens the week before the exhibition starts.
For destinations and suppliers, IMEX is one of the central sales dates of the year. Stands are designed primarily as efficient meeting spaces, with tables matched to the size of the sales team, a reception point to manage arrivals, and imagery or video that conveys a sense of place. The show is organised by Regent Exhibitions, the company behind the IMEX brand.

IMEX Frankfurt 2027: what to expect
IMEX Frankfurt 2027 runs from 11 to 13 May at Messe Frankfurt, preceded by a free day of specialist education on Monday 10 May.
Because most business at IMEX happens through booked appointments, exhibitors should plan the number of meeting tables around the size of the sales team, with a reception desk to keep schedules on time. Co-exhibiting on a national or regional stand is common and can be a cost effective way to attend. Storage for brochures, gifts and personal belongings is easily overlooked on busy stands, and Frankfurt hotels book up early during show week.
