About Futurebuild
Sustainable construction is the organising idea behind Futurebuild, an annual event run by Media 10 at ExCeL London. Its focus is the transition of the built environment towards net zero, covering retrofit, low carbon materials, building performance and energy.
Exhibitors include building products manufacturers, insulation and envelope specialists, heating, ventilation and renewable energy suppliers, and firms working in digital and offsite construction. Visitors are architects, specifiers, contractors, developers, housing associations, local authorities and policymakers, many of whom carry direct responsibility for meeting carbon and energy targets on real projects. The organiser's own research suggests a large share come specifically to find new products and innovations.
The knowledge programme is a central part of the offer. It includes an Arena conference curated by The Edge, the National Retrofit Conference curated by The Retrofit Academy, and seminar stages on buildings, materials and energy. That content draws professionals who might not otherwise spend time at a trade show, and an innovation showcase gives new products a separate route to attention.
Futurebuild sits within a wider built environment gathering at ExCeL, sharing the venue with UK Construction Week London and The Stone and Surfaces Show. For suppliers whose products improve how buildings perform, it offers a concentrated audience of specifiers who are already looking for evidence led solutions. Media 10 also runs year round content under its Connect365 banner between shows.

Futurebuild 2027: what to expect
Futurebuild 2027 runs from 11 to 13 May at ExCeL London, in halls N1, N3 and N4, with UK Construction Week London and The Stone and Surfaces Show alongside. Media 10 reported more than 20,700 built environment professionals at the 2026 edition, with over 500 exhibiting brands and more than 600 speakers.
Specifiers want evidence, so cutaway sections, material build ups and clear performance data usually persuade more than finished showpieces. This audience also notices how a stand itself is built, which makes reusable systems and low waste construction worth discussing at the design stage.
