About Christmasworld
For the seasonal decoration trade, the next festive season is shaped early in the year, and Christmasworld in Frankfurt is where much of that happens. Organised by Messe Frankfurt, it is an international trade fair for seasonal and festive decorations, covering Christmas and other celebrations throughout the year.
The product mix spans decorations, artificial trees and flowers, lighting, candles, festive ribbons and packaging. A distinctive part of the fair is its focus on concept ideas for decorating large and outdoor areas, which draws buyers responsible for shopping centres, city centres and public spaces as well as retail.
Visitors are trade buyers from wholesale and retail, alongside visual merchandisers and those buying for commercial and civic decoration. The audience is international, which makes the fair a strong platform for exporters.
Christmasworld is a key ordering point for the following festive season, so decisions made here appear on shop floors and in town centres many months later. When it runs alongside Ambiente and Creativeworld at the Frankfurt exhibition centre, buyers from neighbouring categories such as gifts, home decoration and craft pass through as well. Visual impact is central: buyers expect to see products styled in atmospheric settings, so stands tend to be built as scenes rather than shelves, with a decorated tree, window display or lit archway showing a whole range at once.

Christmasworld 2027: what to expect
Christmasworld 2027 runs from 29 January to 2 February in Frankfurt am Main, at the same time as Ambiente and Creativeworld.
Lighting products need careful power planning, together with dimmable ambient lighting so they can be seen at their best. Large installations for commercial decoration may involve rigging or tall structures, so check height limits and technical rules with Messe Frankfurt early. With three major fairs running together, Frankfurt is very busy, so book hotels and your build team well ahead, and keep a quieter corner of the stand for order taking.
