About ACHEMA
First held in 1920, ACHEMA is the international meeting point for the process industries and has grown into one of the most significant engineering exhibitions in Europe. It is organised by DECHEMA Ausstellungs-GmbH and staged at Messe Frankfurt, and it takes place only once every three years. That rhythm gives each edition unusual weight: many suppliers plan product launches and investment conversations around it.
The organiser describes ACHEMA as the world forum and leading show for the life science and process industries. Its scope runs from chemical engineering and process technology to pharmaceutical production, biotechnology and laboratory work. Exhibition groups cover areas including laboratory and analytical techniques, instrumentation, control and automation, pharmaceutical, packaging and storage technology, mechanical and thermal processes, pumps, compressors and valves, materials technology, industrial safety, and research and innovation, with a digital hub and a special show on hydrogen.
Visitors are trade professionals: chemists, engineers, process technicians, biotechnologists and energy and environmental specialists from chemical, pharmaceutical, food and energy companies around the world, alongside researchers and procurement teams.
Alongside the exhibition sits a substantial congress programme and the ACHEMA Start-up Award, which gives young companies a stage in front of established industry. For suppliers to the global process sector, the combination of a highly international audience, technical depth and the three-year cycle makes ACHEMA one of the few events where a large share of their customers can be met in a single week.

ACHEMA 2027: what to expect
ACHEMA 2027 runs from 14 to 18 June at Messe Frankfurt. The organiser's figures for the previous edition, ACHEMA 2024, were 2,842 exhibitors from 56 countries and 106,001 participants from 141 countries.
The show occupies more than 130,000 square metres across several halls. First-time exhibitors can use the New Exhibitor Area, a turnkey option with stands of 12 to 20 square metres, wall system, furniture, lighting and flooring included, set in shared areas across the halls. The ACHEMA Start-up Award offers prize money of 15,000 euros, with up to ten finalists invited to present.
With five days on the floor, exhibitors should plan a stand that works for their own team as well as visitors, including meeting space and storage, and confirm floor loads and delivery windows early if heavy process equipment is coming.
