About Intersolar Europe / The smarter E Europe
Solar has its own global showcase in Munich. Intersolar Europe describes itself as the world's leading exhibition for the solar industry, and it sits at the heart of The smarter E Europe, an annual energy industry platform held at Messe München.
Three parallel exhibitions make up the rest of the platform: ees Europe for batteries and energy storage, Power2Drive Europe for charging infrastructure and electric mobility, and EM-Power Europe for energy management and grid integration. Together they reflect how buyers increasingly look for integrated systems rather than individual products.
Intersolar exhibitors include manufacturers and suppliers of photovoltaic and solar thermal products, system integrators, project developers, EPC contractors, certification bodies, research institutes and trade media. The visitor audience is international and professional: project developers, installers, manufacturers, distributors, energy consultants, utilities, investors and architects.
A conference programme at the ICM München, the congress centre beside the exhibition halls, opens the week and overlaps with the first exhibition day. For solar and clean energy companies, the show is a central venue for product launches, international distribution deals and meeting the wider energy transition supply chain. Module and inverter manufacturers often combine product walls with cut-away samples, while storage and system providers lean on live dashboards and working demonstrations.

Intersolar Europe / The smarter E Europe 2027: what to expect
Intersolar Europe 2027 runs from 8 to 10 June at Messe München, in halls A1 to A6, B3, B4, C1 and C4 plus an outdoor area, with the conference at the ICM München on 7 and 8 June. For The smarter E Europe as a whole, the organisers expect more than 2,600 exhibitors, over 100,000 visitors and 200,000 square metres of space in 2027, with about 1,170 exhibitors at Intersolar itself.
Heavy items such as battery cabinets need early checks on floor loading and delivery access, and Munich hotels book up quickly in show week.
