About Ambiente
Ambiente is Messe Frankfurt's international consumer goods fair for tableware, kitchen and household products, interiors, decoration and gifts. Held each year in Frankfurt, it has long been one of the main order-writing events for the home and lifestyle trade.
The fair is structured around clear areas. Dining covers tableware, kitchen and household, a field in which Ambiente positions itself as the world's leading fair. Living brings together interior design, furnishing and decoration, and Giving is home to gifts, personal accessories and original ideas. Global Sourcing serves buyers looking for manufacturing partners and private-label supply. Exhibitors range from global household brands to independent design studios and manufacturers from Europe, Asia and the Americas.
Visitors are mainly trade buyers from department stores, independent retailers, e-commerce, wholesale and hospitality procurement, and the audience is highly international. Messe Frankfurt also runs a worldwide network of related consumer goods fairs, including the Interior Lifestyle events in Tokyo, China and South America.
Exhibitors take part because Ambiente concentrates so much buying power early in the year. Retailers come to compare ranges, place orders and spot trends before the season gets under way, and Messe Frankfurt's other consumer goods fairs, Christmasworld and Creativeworld, are held in the same period in some years, allowing buyers to cover several categories in one trip. Buyers move quickly and compare many suppliers, so stands that communicate range and positioning at a glance, with strong hero displays and space for order taking, tend to perform best.

Ambiente 2027: what to expect
Ambiente 2027 runs from 29 January to 2 February at the Frankfurt exhibition centre, held at the same time as Christmasworld and Creativeworld. Messe Frankfurt presents the combination as a way to bring together a wide range of products and buyers across categories. New this year is a Digital Academy within the programme.
The joint timing keeps Frankfurt's hotels and contractors very busy, so book accommodation and trades early. Messe Frankfurt has its own technical regulations and deadlines, and a five-day run means planning staff rotas and sample storage carefully. Buyers cross between the three fairs, so it can pay to consider how your range reads to a seasonal or creative buyer as well as a core Ambiente visitor.
