About Pitti Immagine Uomo
Florence becomes the focal point of the menswear calendar twice a year, in January and June, when Pitti Immagine Uomo opens at the Fortezza da Basso. The organiser, Pitti Immagine, presents the fair as the world's most important platform for men's clothing and accessory collections, and it has a long-standing reputation as the place where the menswear season is previewed.
The exhibitor mix runs from tailoring and heritage labels through to contemporary, casual, outerwear, footwear and accessories brands. Because the fair is curated into distinct sections, where a brand is placed says something about its positioning, and buyers use that structure to plan their route. Visitors are trade professionals, chiefly buyers from department stores, independent boutiques and online retailers, together with press and other industry figures. Although it is a trade event, its influence on how menswear is photographed and discussed reaches far beyond the buyers in the halls.
Pitti Immagine also organises a family of related events, including Pitti Bimbo for childrenswear, Pitti Filati for yarns and Fragranze for perfumery, all rooted in Florence. That gives the city a steady presence in the fashion and lifestyle trade calendar.
Brands exhibit for visibility as much as for orders. A presence at Pitti places a label alongside the names that define the season and in front of an international buying audience that would be difficult to reach any other way. For newer labels, the fair offers a route to stockists in many countries in a single week.

Pitti Immagine Uomo 2027: what to expect
The January 2027 edition, Pitti Uomo 111, runs from 12 to 15 January at the Fortezza da Basso, with the theme "Pitti Goes Wild". A summer edition follows from 15 to 18 June 2027.
For context, the organiser reported around 11,000 buyers and more than 740 exhibitors at the June 2026 edition, with over 5,200 of those buyers coming from abroad, from more than 90 countries.
The Fortezza is a historic site, so stand construction works within the constraints of an older venue, including access routes and pavilion layouts that differ from a modern exhibition centre. Opening hours run from 9:00 to 18:00, finishing at 16:00 on the last day. Presentation standards are high, and many brands treat the stand as a small boutique with appointment space for pre-booked buyers.
