About FRUIT LOGISTICA
FRUIT LOGISTICA, organised by Messe Berlin, bills itself as the world's leading trade show for the fresh produce business. Each February it fills the Berlin exhibition grounds with companies from every stage of the fruit and vegetable supply chain, and the large majority of participants travel from outside Germany, giving it a genuinely global character.
The show is built around three segments. Fresh Produce covers growers, packers, exporters, importers and marketing organisations. Machinery and Technology brings in suppliers of sorting, grading, packing and processing equipment. Logistics covers the transport, cold chain and handling services that move perishable goods across borders. Many countries and producer regions take national pavilions, which makes it straightforward to meet a whole origin in one place.
Alongside the stands there is a substantial content and innovation programme. The Innovation Zone and Innovation Award highlight new products and ideas, Startup World connects young companies with established players, and the Smart Agri area focuses on digital tools for farming. Several stages host talks on market trends, and the Organic Route helps visitors find certified organic exhibitors.
For UK businesses the fair is useful in both directions. Importers, wholesalers and retailers use it to source from producing regions worldwide, while British growers, packaging firms, technology suppliers and logistics providers use it to meet international customers. The concentration of senior buyers over three days means advance meeting planning pays off, and many exhibitors treat the show as the commercial starting point of their year.

FRUIT LOGISTICA 2027: what to expect
FRUIT LOGISTICA 2027 runs from 3 to 5 February at Messe Berlin. Messe Berlin reported about 2,600 exhibitors from roughly 90 countries and around 90,000 participants from 151 countries at the 2026 edition, which went ahead despite severe winter weather that grounded some flights. New for 2027 is a Buyers Club linking qualified international buyers with business partners, alongside the returning Innovation Zone, Startup World and Smart Agri area.
With such an international audience, exhibitors should prepare materials in English and key market languages and confirm meetings well before travelling. Berlin hotels fill early for the show, so book accommodation as soon as possible. Early February weather can disrupt flights, so build a little slack into arrival plans for stand staff and freight. Fresh produce exhibitors should arrange cold storage and daily replenishment of display stock.
