About IFA Berlin
IFA Berlin is one of the world's best-known trade shows for consumer electronics and home appliances, held each September at Messe Berlin and organised by IFA Management GmbH. It has long been a launch platform for new technology aimed at the autumn and Christmas selling season.
The show covers a wide range of product areas, including audio, home entertainment, smart home, computing and gaming, mobility and connectivity, as well as large and small domestic appliances. Exhibitors range from global electronics and appliance brands to component makers, OEM and ODM manufacturers, and start-ups.
IFA serves both trade and public audiences. Trade visitors, including retailers, distributors, buyers and media, attend throughout, while the public is admitted on set days to see and try products before they reach the shops. That combination gives exhibitors both business meetings and direct consumer feedback.
Several dedicated areas help different exhibitors find the right audience. IFA Next is the home of start-ups and innovation, IFA Global Markets serves as a sourcing hub for OEM and ODM suppliers and their customers, and the IFA Innovation Awards recognise new products. For brands planning launches, the concentration of international media is a key attraction, and for manufacturers seeking retail partners across Europe and beyond, the share of international buyers makes IFA an efficient place to build distribution.

IFA Berlin 2027: what to expect
IFA 2027 runs from Friday 3 to Tuesday 7 September at Messe Berlin. Trade visitors can attend from 09:30 to 18:00 each day, while public opening is from 12:00 on the Friday and from 10:00 on the Saturday to Tuesday.
IFA Management reported more than 240,000 attendees from 155 countries, over 2,000 brands from 51 countries and more than 5,200 media representatives at the 2026 show.
The mix of trade-only morning time on the opening day and public crowds later on means stands need both quiet meeting space for buyers and robust, hands-on demo areas for consumers. IFA Next start-ups are grouped in Hall 25.
