About spoga horse
Koelnmesse's spoga horse presents itself as the leading B2B trade fair for the global horse industry. Held annually in Cologne, it gathers manufacturers, suppliers and buyers from the equestrian trade over three days and is open to trade visitors only, with access checks on site.
Exhibitors cover clothing for horse and rider, equestrian accessories, horse care, health and feeding, saddlery and leather goods, and stable, pasture and transport equipment, along with services. A companion event, spoga dog, extends the offer to dog equipment.
The visitor base is specialised. It includes equestrian retailers, wholesalers, online traders and other buyers, together with professionals such as vets, trainers and farriers, who bring a technical perspective to product conversations. The fair attracts international players from across the sector.
Because the equestrian trade is specialist and spread across many countries, a fair that brings so much of it together is a practical place to launch ranges, meet distributors and build export sales. Trade-only access means time on the stand is spent with people who can place orders or open territories. Equestrian buyers like to handle products: rider clothing benefits from mannequins and clear size ranges, saddlery and tack need sturdy displays at a realistic working height with good lighting on the leather, and feed and care products need clear information on ingredients and certification.

spoga horse 2027: what to expect
spoga horse 2027 runs from Saturday 30 January to Monday 1 February in Halls 7 and 8 at Koelnmesse, Cologne. Visitors are admitted from 9:00 to 18:00 on the first two days and until 17:00 on the Monday.
The main change for 2027 is spoga dog, a new B2B fair for dog supplies powered by ZZF. It takes place on the same dates in Hall 6, so dog equipment suppliers who previously sat among equestrian exhibitors may now have a separate home. The organiser plans to run spoga dog every two years after its launch.
Hotels will be under pressure that weekend, as the fair overlaps with other events in Cologne, so book rooms for the stand team and builders early. Visitor tickets are trade only, which brings a focused audience, and a small meeting table for distributor talks is usually worth the floor space. Koelnmesse's technical order deadlines are firm.
