About Great Yorkshire Show
Held over four days each July at the Great Yorkshire Showground in Harrogate, the Great Yorkshire Show is one of England's leading agricultural shows and a major event in the rural calendar. It is organised by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society, a registered charity that works to support farming, food and the countryside.
The show is both a working farming event and a popular day out. Livestock competitions, involving thousands of animals, form its backbone, while a machinery demonstration ring and the Agri-Innovation Village showcase equipment and technology for the farming community. The Food Hall celebrates food producers and includes a dedicated Cheese and Dairy Show.
Trade stands cover agricultural machinery and supplies, rural services, food and drink, clothing, crafts, and home and garden products. Visitors include farmers, landowners and rural businesses as well as families and members of the public from across the region, so exhibitors can reach trade and consumer audiences at the same event.
For exhibitors, the scale and loyalty of the audience are the main attraction. The show has sold out in advance every year since tickets moved to advance-only sales in 2021, which gives a high degree of confidence in footfall. Machinery dealers can meet farmers in a setting where purchases are discussed seriously, food producers can sell directly and build awareness with the public, and rural service providers can reach a large share of the farming community of the north of England in a single week.

Great Yorkshire Show 2027: what to expect
The 2027 Great Yorkshire Show runs from Tuesday 13 to Friday 16 July at the Great Yorkshire Showground, Harrogate, with gates open from 08:00 to 18:00 each day.
The Yorkshire Agricultural Society reported 150,000 visitors and 8,500 animals at the 2026 show. Trade stand space for 2026 was fully booked, so businesses hoping to exhibit in 2027 should apply as early as the society allows.
Because the show runs entirely on weekdays and tickets are sold in advance, footfall is steady across all four days. Outdoor stands need to be weatherproof and able to handle long opening hours, and food exhibitors in the Food Hall should plan stock for high volumes of direct sales.
