About SIAL Paris
First held in 1964, SIAL Paris has grown into one of the world's largest food industry trade shows and a central marketplace for food and drink innovation. It is organised by Comexposium and takes place every two years, usually in October, at Paris Nord Villepinte, its home since the 1980s.
The show is organised into ten main sectors covering the breadth of food and drink, from frozen and organic products to ingredients and dietary foods. National and regional pavilions are a large part of the floor, and a substantial start-up presence adds younger brands to the mix.
Access is reserved for food industry professionals. Visitors include retail and wholesale buyers, importers and distributors, manufacturers, and foodservice and restaurant operators, many of whom travel from outside France to source new suppliers and products.
Innovation is a recurring thread. The SIAL Innovation competition, running since 1996, highlights new products and gives launches extra visibility, while SIAL Summits and SIAL Talks bring conference content on industry trends. Dedicated spaces for bakery and snacking and for street food and foodservice help buyers in those segments find relevant exhibitors quickly.
For producers pursuing export growth, the show offers access to a very international buying audience in a single week, and the biennial cycle concentrates a great deal of sourcing activity into each edition.

SIAL Paris 2028: what to expect
SIAL Paris runs every two years, so the next edition falls in 2028. Comexposium had not published dates when this page was checked. The organiser has issued a release signalling a two-venue experience for 2028, so the site arrangements may differ from the single-venue Paris Nord Villepinte format used in 2026.
Food exhibitors planning for 2028 should register interest early, as pavilion and stand allocations for this show are typically settled well ahead. Details will be added once confirmed.
