About Global Industrie
France's main industrial trade event, Global Industrie is built around the idea of gathering the whole manufacturing ecosystem in one place. Organised by GL events, it presents itself as a meeting point for industry and a showcase for French reindustrialisation, and it has been held under the high patronage of the French President.
The exhibition is divided into themed zones that cover the production chain from end to end. Visitors will find machine tools, forming and assembly, additive manufacturing, robotics, electronics and mechatronics, innovative materials, subcontracting and industrial services, with automation, digitalisation and AI, energy and environment running through the show as cross-cutting themes.
The audience is professional. Engineers, production and maintenance managers, buyers and company directors come to compare technologies and suppliers, while students and jobseekers are drawn by a dedicated employment and training space, GI Avenir. Live machinery is a defining feature: a large share of exhibitors run equipment and robots on their stands, so visitors expect to see processes working rather than looking at brochures.
For suppliers, the appeal lies in reaching French manufacturers of every size in a single week, alongside a substantial conference programme on the main stage and in the Booster Area. Competitions such as the Golden Tech Awards, which test practical industrial skills, and the Innovation Awards for new products add visibility for exhibitors with something new to show. Stand Between works with builders who are used to designing industrial stands around heavy, working exhibits.

Global Industrie 2027: what to expect
The 2027 edition takes place at Eurexpo Lyon, in Chassieu on the eastern side of the city, from Monday 15 to Thursday 18 March 2027. Doors open at 9am each day, with a late opening until 8pm on the Wednesday and an earlier 5pm close on the final day.
The organiser has already published a list of exhibitors for 2027, and the programme again includes main stage conferences, Booster Area sessions and metrology pitches alongside the themed exhibition zones.
Exhibitors planning to run machines should settle power, compressed air, floor loading and safety guarding with the organiser early, as these drive the whole stand layout. The Wednesday evening session is worth staffing fully, since it is the longest day of the show. Eurexpo is around 20 minutes from Lyon Saint Exupéry airport and is served by tram line T5, which helps when planning travel for build crews and staff.
