About SPE Offshore Europe
SPE Offshore Europe has roots that go back to 1973, and it remains a central event for the North Sea energy industry. Organised by RX in full partnership with the Society of Petroleum Engineers, it combines a large exhibition with an SPE-led technical conference and takes place at P&J Live in Aberdeen.
The organiser describes it as the integrated energy event for offshore decision makers. Its scope reflects the way the offshore sector has changed: alongside oil and gas production, it covers offshore wind, hydrogen, carbon capture and storage, decommissioning and digitalisation.
Exhibitors include operators and developers, engineering, procurement and construction firms, service companies, equipment manufacturers, subsea specialists and technology vendors, together with national and regional groups. Visitors are trade professionals, including engineers, project managers, procurement specialists and senior executives from across the North Sea and international markets.
The appeal for exhibitors lies in access to the people who specify and buy for offshore projects, at a time when many businesses are repositioning their services for the energy transition. The SPE technical programme draws experienced engineers, while themed theatres and hubs covering energy transition, offshore wind, hydrogen and digital innovation bring in visitors with specific interests. A skills and education programme adds a focus on the future workforce. For supply chain companies based in Aberdeen and beyond, the event is an opportunity to show capabilities to operators and contractors in their own backyard.

SPE Offshore Europe 2027: what to expect
SPE Offshore Europe 2027 runs from Tuesday 7 to Thursday 9 September at P&J Live, Aberdeen, with the exhibition open from 09:30 to 17:00 each day.
The SPE technical conference returns alongside themed theatres and hubs, and the call for papers is run through the conference programme on the official site.
P&J Live is a modern venue with good access, but Aberdeen hotel capacity is tight during the show, so accommodation for stand teams and contractors should be secured early. Exhibitors bringing heavy equipment or large models should check floor loading and delivery slots with the organiser in good time.
