About Hydrogen & Carbon Capture Technology World Expo
Two related trade shows share a venue in Hamburg under the Hydrogen & Carbon Capture Technology World Expo banner: the Hydrogen Technology World Expo and the Carbon Capture Technology World Expo. Together they serve the engineering and supply chain behind decarbonisation, from hydrogen production to carbon capture, utilisation and storage. The organiser is Trans-Global Events, part of CloserStill Media.
The series moved to Hamburg from Bremen, and its earlier European editions ran under the Hydrogen Technology Expo Europe name. The current home connects it with one of Europe's major port and industrial cities, and the event has backing from a broad group of local and industry partners, including the City of Hamburg, the Hamburg Port Authority, VDMA and the German Hydrogen Association (DWV).
Exhibitors cover technologies across the hydrogen value chain, from production through to storage and distribution, alongside carbon capture technology and engineering solutions. Visitors are professionals working on hydrogen and carbon capture projects in energy, industry, transport and related sectors, and they include engineers, project developers and procurement teams.
Free entry to the exhibition encourages a wide attendance, while a conference, an open theatre forum and a B2B matchmaking programme give more structured routes to meetings. For component suppliers and engineering firms, the appeal is meeting project teams at the stage when they are selecting technology and partners.

Hydrogen & Carbon Capture Technology World Expo 2027: what to expect
The next Hamburg edition is scheduled for Tuesday 19 to Thursday 21 October 2027 at Hamburg Messe. Against those dates, Trans-Global Events, part of CloserStill Media, lists more than 1,000 exhibitors, over 20,000 visitors and more than 200 speakers. The Hydrogen Technology World Expo and the Carbon Capture Technology World Expo again share the halls, and the organiser also runs sister shows in Houston in February 2027 and Abu Dhabi in June 2027.
Electrolysers, compressors and skid-mounted systems are common on this floor, so heavy exhibits need weights, footprints and delivery routes agreed with the venue well before build-up. Pressurised or gas-related displays should be checked against Hamburg Messe's technical rules at an early stage. Entry is free, which brings a wide audience, so a quick way of qualifying visitors at the edge of the stand lets engineers concentrate on genuine projects.
