About Independent Hotel Show London
Aimed squarely at the independent end of the hotel market, the Independent Hotel Show London brings together owners and operators of luxury, boutique and independent hotels with the suppliers that equip and serve them. It is organised by Montgomery Group and held at Olympia London.
The audience is what distinguishes the show. Independent hotels rarely have central procurement departments, so the person on the stand is often talking to an owner, general manager or operator who can make a purchasing decision directly. Visitors are looking for products and services that help their property stand out, run more efficiently or improve the guest experience.
Exhibitors cover the full range of hotel needs: interior design, furniture and furnishings, guest amenities, hotel technology such as booking, property management and guest communication systems, food and drink, linen and housekeeping, and business services including insurance. The exhibition is supported by a seminar and talks programme across stages devoted to innovation and hotel business, covering topics that matter to independent operators such as technology, guest expectations, profitability and design.
The show also hosts awards that recognise independent hotels and hotel design, which brings a sense of occasion and attracts respected figures from the sector. For suppliers wanting to build relationships with a fragmented but design-conscious market, it offers a concentrated gathering of the decision makers who are otherwise hard to reach one property at a time.
Show recap
How Independent Hotel Show London 2026 went
The 2026 Independent Hotel Show returned to Olympia London on 5 and 6 October. Across the two days, the seminar programme looked at hotel interiors, how guest expectations are shifting, technology, food and beverage, and luxury travel, and the organiser's follow-up coverage has since focused on AI and automation, marketing for small hotels, the tourist tax debate and hotel design.
The awards remain a highlight of the show. Cromlix was named Independent Hotel of the Year in the under 50 rooms category, while The Grand, York took the title for hotels with more than 50 rooms. Hotel Design of the Year went to The Old Bell Hotel in Malmesbury, credited to Charlotte Smiley and Kim Hanks, and Isaac Arikawe of Grantley Hall was named Hotel Rising Star. The organiser also recognised AA Media's Simon Numphud.
No formal post-show figures had been published at the time of checking. The organiser has already confirmed that the show returns to Olympia on 5 and 6 October 2027.

Independent Hotel Show London 2027: what to expect
The Independent Hotel Show is back at Olympia London on Tuesday 5 and Wednesday 6 October 2027, with doors open from 10:00 to 17:00 on both days. The awards evening follows the first day, from 17:00 to 19:00, so expect owners and general managers to stay on into the early evening.
The 2026 edition gave a good guide to what this audience cares about: interiors and design, changing guest expectations, technology, food and beverage, and increasingly AI and automation. Exhibitors who can link their product to one of these themes will find it easier to start conversations. The organiser had not published audited visitor figures for 2026 at the time of checking.
Many visitors buy for a single property and make decisions themselves, so stands that feel like a finished hotel space, with real furniture, lighting and finishes, tend to work well. Olympia has fixed delivery slots and building rules, so agree load-in times with your contractor early.
