About Ideal Home Show
First staged in 1908 by the Daily Mail, the Ideal Home Show is one of the longest-running consumer exhibitions in Britain and calls itself the UK's biggest home event. It is held at Olympia London and has been owned since 2008 by Media 10, the first change of ownership in its history.
The show has deep roots in British life. It was suspended during the Second World War and reopened in 1947, attracted a record 1.5 million visitors in 1957, and was visited by Queen Elizabeth II on 11 occasions.
Exhibitors span interiors, home renovation, gardens, home organisation, home accessories, smart home technology, travel and leisure, health and wellbeing, and food and drink. Show homes, celebrity talks, DIY demonstrations, garden displays and an Eat & Drink Festival make it a full day out for visitors.
This is a consumer show. Its audience is homeowners, renovators and families, many with projects under way or planned and a budget in mind. That makes it a direct sales and lead generation platform: a well-designed stand can turn a conversation into an order or a home visit on the spot. The long run of the show also gives exhibitors time to refine their pitch and test offers. Stands that work here are easy to read from the aisle, let people touch and try products, and include a comfortable area for longer consultations. Stand Between can introduce exhibitors to builders who know Olympia.

Ideal Home Show 2027: what to expect
The 2027 Ideal Home Show runs for ten days, from 2 to 11 April 2027, at Olympia London. Opening hours are 10am to 5pm on weekdays and 10am to 6pm at weekends. The organiser cites more than 136,000 visitors a year and over 600 exhibiting brands.
Ten days is a long run for a stand team, so plan rotas, rest space and storage with that in mind, and expect footfall to peak at weekends. Under-15s enter free with a paying adult, which brings families in numbers, so robust displays and clear walkways matter. Room sets, kitchens and plumbed displays need detailed planning with Olympia's build and delivery rules, so involve a builder early.
